We are very pleased to announce the release of Yii Framework version 2.0.38. Please refer to the instructions at https://www.yiiframework.com/download/ to install or upgrade to this version.
Notable changes in this version, additionally to some bug-fixes:
- PHP 8 support.
- Latest MySQL and PostgreSQL versions up from 10 are good and added to our test pipelines.
- Fixtures with circular dependencies are now loaded once instead of throwing exception.
- Fixed CVE-2020-15148: remote code execution in case application calls unserialize() on user input containing specially crafted string. Details are available in a security advisory.
- Some Vagrant-related enhancements were added to both basic and advanced application templates.
